You will manage the implementation of client recruiting strategies – including but not limited to campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR (public relations.)

Essentially, you will act as the face of The Walker Center, building relationships, thriving in a fast-paced environment, and be able to track multiple ongoing projects and responsibilities simultaneously. You’ll be a part of The Walker Center family, helping hundreds of people find the help, hope, and healing needed for recovery from addiction.

Responsibilities

  • Reach out to businesses, community organizations, families, churches, and individuals that need substance use disorder treatment services.

  • Create and maintain relationships with substance use treatment providers, businesses, and other organizations and develop the referral process.

  • Develop and implement client recruiting and branding strategies. 

  • Work with community members and organizations to ensure that people experiencing substance use disorders receive the appropriate treatment services and/or detox services based on their level of need.

  • Follow up to ensure that any new referrals are completed and advocate for them

  • Work closely with the management team to identify the needs of the Walker Center in the community

  • Perform continuous analysis of the competitor environment and other industry trends

  • Travel and attend networking events, conferences, and other community functions

  • Work side by side with our marketing team to come up with campaign ideas and advise on strategies to grow The Walker Center’s business

  • Have professional and technical knowledge of marketing strategies, marketing tools, and industry trends, especially online

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Act as Walker Center representative with media and other organizations

  • Participate in a crisis response team

  • Create authentic and relevant content for our social media channels - Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn as needed to represent The Walker Center and our culture, including creating video content and being comfortable in front of the camera

  • Travel around 30% of the time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Education, Public Health, Social Work, or related field OR four years of direct and related professional experience

  • Any self-identified person in recovery from a Substance Use Disorder must have a minimum of three years of sobriety from substances of abuse. 

  • Must pass pre-hire requirements including a criminal background check, UA, and TB test.

  • Valid driver’s license
