Kindness & Compassion

Being kind in the workplace creates a ripple effect. It impacts the general level of positivity, boosts your mood and it's contagious as the good feelings it promotes make people likely to 'pay it forward'.

For The Walker Center, kindness also means being compassionate. It means to really be there for someone, listening intently to their suffering, just sitting with them, silently supporting them, and making their suffering our own. By doing so, we can help give them the help, hope & healing they need to recover.

Empathy

When you develop empathy, you become skilled at managing relationships, listening and relating to others. At The Walker Center, we focus on understanding our clients and peers to see what they need to achieve the major potential or helping them when they need it most.

"Be not disturbed at being misunderstood; be disturbed rather at not being understanding.”

– Chinese Proverb

Integrity

Integrity at The Walker Center comes in many forms, but above all refers to having upstanding character traits and work ethics including sound judgement, honesty, dependability, and loyalty.

He is managing every one of them with extreme care and never dismisses any of his clients’ feelings. On top of all that, he still finds time to check in with his team and give pep talks when needed. He has amazing work ethic! Mike's clients are consistently engaged in treatment, which is reflective of his ability to connect with them.
