Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a cognitive-behavioral therapy focusing more on social and emotional elements. It was developed to create a way to help people to regulate difficult emotions and the problematic behaviors that accompany them. Designed by celebrated psychotherapist Marsha Linehan, it comprises four main branches: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness.

We use DBT skills as a component of treatment to assist individuals in strengthening resiliency and empower them to walk through life’s challenges with more confidence.

We use DBT and other treatments to help you manage your mental health needs. Check out the other services we offer here.
