Walker Center offers medically managed detoxification services as part of our residential program.

Our Medical Director carries a certification as an Addictionologist by the American Society of Addiction Medicine and specializes in family practice medicine.

Our goal is to safely help clients who may experience withdrawal effects while detoxing from alcohol, benzodiazepines (Ativan, Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, etc.), or opiates (heroin, Oxycontin, Norco, Vicodin, etc.). Medications are used to help keep clients safe while, at the same time, lessening some of the unpleasant symptoms of withdrawal. Our staff will closely monitor clients throughout this detox period.
